ASL Aviation Group proudly participated in FlightFest on Sunday 15th September by flying two aircraft from its fleet.

    FlightFest, one of the events of ‘The Gathering Ireland 2013’ was held in Dublin, Ireland. Air Contractors, ASL’s Irish airline proudly participated and flew two types of aircraft – the ATR42 and the Lockheed Hercules L382G.

    Air Contractor’s ATR42 is a twin-turboprop, short-haul regional airliner. It is mainly operated throughout Europe for freight flights within one of our customers’ extensive feeder networks. In a bulk loaded configuration this ATR42-300, can offer a maximum payload of 5,400kgs in a cargo cabin of 52cbm.

    Air Contractors’ Hercules L382G aircraft is powered by four Allison turbo-prop engines, and has a maximum payload of 21,000kgs. The aircraft's large rear door along with it’s 120cbm cargo hold makes it a specialist in carrying oversized loads including aircraft engines up to RB211 size. This aircraft also specialises in oil spill recovery operations.
