On a number of days each week the ASL Group will have four aircraft carrying up to 1,300 people and almost 50 crew to and from the United States and Canada, with both Air Contractors and Europe Airpost now operating scheduled and ACMI transatlantic passenger flights.

“This is a remarkable development in a period of just one year, to go from no Atlantic services to four scheduled routes serving North America from Ireland, France and Scotland,” said ASL Group Chief Executive, Hugh Flynn.
“It is testimony to the spirit, commitment and professionalism of the teams in the airlines and throughout the Group that this level of growth could be achieved in such a short time", Mr Flynn continued.

Air Contractors operates three B757s for Aer Lingus on routes from Shannon to New York JFK and Boston and from Dublin to Toronto.

"The routes are performing extremely well" said Air Contractors Chief Executive Colin Grant. “The aircraft is proving itself ideal for the routes that we operate and passenger reaction to our B757s has been excellent. Flights can be booked at www.aerlingus.com.

Europe Airpost has just launched its summer season of flights serving Halifax, Nova Scotia, from Paris CDG and Glasgow International using Boeing 737-700 series aircraft. Flights can be booked at www.europeairpost.com.

Halifax Stanfield International Airport President & CEO Joyce Carter welcomed the first Europe Airpost flight to Canada and pointed out that “there has been pent-up demand for service to these markets for some time.”
Jean-François Dominiak, Europe Airpost CEO, speaking in Halifax said “We are confident that the product we offer to the market meets the demand for seasonal flights and we are also confident that customers will appreciate the high level of reliability and service on board which forms the reputation of Europe Airpost in France.”
